Today….
Right now – while you’re reading this – I am probably in my mandatory update real estate class. O M G
I am the one….that’s pretending to be listening – maybe attempting to play UNO on my iphone. I might
even be the one in the back of the class, head down on my desk, snoring with drool coming out of my mouth.
I’m joking. Ummm….maybe.
Now…
You’re probably saying….“OMG, I don’t want Kelly as my real estate agent for the Asheville or Weaverville area! She doesn’t even pay attention to these critical updates….and real estate is serious and you can get sued if something goes down really bad…..ya know?!”
Hey hey hey…..calm down. I’m IN class aren’t I!?!
And I also do not do real estate for a living. If it was my “job” – I’d be the one IN the front row with all the highlighters and notes. I’d also go as far as to wear my new “40-something, first time I’ve had to wear glasses” glasses.
I enjoy having a real estate license and at one time, I did do real estate as my job. Yep…I sure did. I was a buyer’s agent. I worked the entire time I was pregnant with my second child while doing real estate. Up to the DAY I had her I was showing houses. And you know what? THAT client – waited until I came BACK from maternity leave because he
didn’t want to work with anyone but me for his first home purchase. See….I AM a good agent. Don’t look so shocked.
Real estate can be an exciting, fulfilling career – it’s just *NOT* my career right now. But – maybe one day, again – it might be – so here I am…..in class. Absorbing, retaining….kinda, mostly….sorta. But I have to tell you – my brain and my body would rather be back in bed snoozing. Or at least at home drinking my third cup of coffee.
UNO!!!!
